Got an offer for A1 audit associate, $68K at one of the firms I’m interviewing for. I have until Wednesday EOB to decide. I am in the last steps of the process with my no. 1 choice and recently sent them an email letting them know I have an offer and asking what their timeline is for filling the position, hoping maybe they will be willing to speed up the process of making a decision. They will probably offer me $66K or so, which I am more than willing to take. Should I try and call them or wait?

So I applied to Goldman and after doing the phone screen with the recruiter I'm less interested in working there. The recruiter made no sense...

Anyone have stories of yourself or someone you know leaving accounting to pursue something completely different?

So I work at a small (6 people) accounting firm, not in a big city, but I've been there 3 busy seasons for tax, I've passed 2/4 CPA exams, and I make $40k. No passing bonus, no raise structure, idk what their plan is for me after I get my license, basically no benefits.
So I want more, I love the people but I think I should leave, I don't know where to look though. I'm nervous about a big 4, i don't know if I can go industry without big 4 experience, any advice?

I have seen quite a few managers (1st or 2nd year) moving into an industry role as a senior, not manager. Is this common? I thought it’s easy to get a manager title in industry coming out of big 4
