Just returned to the office and have decided that someone should do a study on the correlation between job title and voice loudness.

I'm curious if ALL salespeople have distracting loud voices, or just the ones who work in my building and have meetings in my work area.

No, it’s not just your company. One of my marketing managers is holding a grudge that he didn’t get an office when he came to work so he is trying to force the issue by being very, very loud on ALL of his teams calls. I’ve asked him to step into a conference room for his calls but he refuses. He’s so rude.

Should respect be EARNED or GIVEN? 🤔 Chime in.

I come from the European culture of education where teachers are highly respected - very much like in the Japanese society where teachers get the utmost respect, as high as if not even higher than doctors / surgeons.

Students stand up when the teacher enters the classroom, say “hello” when seen in the hallway, etc. Teachers are (or at least are expected to be) GIVEN the respect by students. Seems in the US respect has to be EARNED.

For how long do we think federal student loans will be paused? The expectation is through the end of the year but that seems arbitrary. Wouldn’t it make more sense to extend until new capitalization rules kick in? Not that I’m complaining, I have about half my outstanding balance sitting in a separate savings account but just trying to plan.

Are you doing what you thought you would be when you took out your student loans? If so, do you feel like taking out your loans was worth it?

Need contract help optimizing our project management infrastructure to scale.

ISO: An experienced production/project manager with expertise in advertising/digital space (creatives, dev, copy, photo/video, etc.) to provide an audit of our project management systems, structure and processes to identify gaps and provide recommendations for scale.

Does anyone have experience doing this or can recommend a company/person who does?

I work at a firm that is predominantly white. We live in an area that's predominantly Hispanic, but they don't speak Spanish. I do and I'm always used as a translator. It's very annoying because I don't even get brought it on the case. They only want me to translate or talk to witnesses and that's it. It takes me away from my real work. I'm considering removing that I am fluent in Spanish from my resume to not deal with this in the future. Anyone dealt with this before?

Hi All,
I wish to join one of the top consulting firms like McKinsey, BCG, B&C etc. I am currently working as a Business Analyst with a work ex of 3 years.
I have started exploring on my own and one thing that came out different were Case Studies interviews and I have started reading and preparing for them.
I will do MBA also post working in one of these firms.
I was hoping if anyone can help me to prepare better or suggest a plan to land a job for a role that aligns with my ambitions.
Thank You

I changed jobs 6-7 months ago and I’m afraid the new company is not a good match. I really don’t like how people expect you to not say the truth but rather tell leadership what they would like to hear. I’m starting to think about applying to other companies. But how would you answer the “why are you looking to leave” question without bad mouthing your current employer?
