So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
Any word on layoffs at JPM?

I don’t doubt that many were counseled out last week and the way it was handled leaves a lot to be desired but I sense an ill intent of the OP to taint Kearney no matter what and he isn’t at Kearney anymore.
Firms that bet on growth need to cut the cost base when that assumption turns out to be wrong. What do you mean by”how dare”? It reeks of entitlement and being simply out of touch with reality.
K5 stop digging. Your firm is going down and everyone sees it. Your firm claims essential rightness while all that it does is essentially unethical. What your firm has done, killed the reputation for good in the ME talent market. And if you haven’t realized that, then it’s an even bigger issue. Reputation with clients is dwindling at record speed due to delivery issues by low caliber talent that was hired and namely by the departing public sector team that has eliminated you almost completely from the core KSA gov market. More to come
From people at the top in the ME, it’s more like 50 OC’ed. Of course, hearing this second hand without seeing any documentation, so take with a pinch of salt.
That said, I know that the market is exceptionally bad, and MBBs are giving projects at zero fee. Incredible.
Where are the leaders? Why aren’t they speaking about the sudden downsizing that they had to do because of their messed up workforce planning
100+ consultants from BA to manager received a call from HR telling them that they are out of the firm due to “performance related” issues. While in parallel many of these people were fully utilized and considered as stars by the mentors, project teams, leadership and clients! They were also directly removed from their projects and given garden leaves!
Forced attrition has always been part of consulting, but there are more humane and professional ways to do it, especially from a firm that claims to have values!
Everyone sees Kearney for what it really is now! They are going down at record speed.
I don’t know anyone who was OCd, not a single person

C5 - say hi to AN 😂
My advice: check up on your colleagues as they’ll start disappearing from the system in the upcoming week!

I agree with your
One reason why they are doing so is that there are not so many interesting positions on the clients side to offer.
Kearney should have hired big 4 to handle their downsizing, wouldve done a better job

I think they are downsizing because they have been hiring big 4
About what?
SC1, how many companies you have? 😂
Great assumption! Sry to tell you but I’m still at Kearney!

K7 based on those qualities, he looks like a prime contender to head Kearney MEA in the future
60 consultants only, everything performance based
From no one to 60.. smooth change of narrative
Over recruitment driven by personal and political agendas by some in the LT to inflate office size

What is the employee count of Kearney in MENA?
No 2000!!! 😂😂😂 barely 550 (without turkey and Africa) and 100 fired now plus another 100 since Jan, trickled under the radar. With many more to come
Out of interest, does anyone know if the option for relocation to other offices was a possibility for those OC'd? If they have a right to work, etc.
More than 100 confirmed by many sources. And soon P&Ps plus another wave of 100. Sit tight and watch K going down. All this was predicted accurately a year ago, but the K FB police was attacking all those who were saying this. All this is due to the unethical political motivations of their leaders
