KPMG issued a notice last week regarding mid year bonus/raises and EY announced it today, all following PwC's announcement, for the same.

If this isn't evidence of collusion to control the wages of the profession, I'm not sure what would be. I'm certain someone will reply "thats free market at work" but we've all been hemorrhaging people for a few months so why now and in such rapid succession?

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

Anyone have benchmark on what Comp structure is (and how much) for KPMG salary partners in advisory based in Toronto?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

Hi fishes, my previous employer has not given me the money for Earned Leaves, they are saying it's not in their policy.. I have a variable bonus of 100000. Out of this they have given only 19,000 in the month of December after 6 months of joining...But they are not giving me any bonus after completing 1 year and 2 months.. They have stopped my appraisal as well...

So in total, I lost my appraisal money, bonus and Earned Leaves money... I feel betrayed and cheated...

Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t be necessarily grow my network, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

Let me tell you, I love the flexibility at my firm, OK pay, and I do a great job, and am comfortable pushing back when I have too much work . BUT managers are terrible at planning and recently end up putting me in preventable situations where I need to work 55 hrs or have the staff work the 55 hours.
