Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

No FT programs because the opportunity cost is too high.
No JD lmao
The pt Wharton mba is good, Haas one is trash

A MBA graduating top of their class would come in as an L4 PM at Google. Not sure what you think you’ll be learning, but can promise you no PT program is checking a box that will move the needle (got into 2 M7s). An MBA is a social insurance program and network - not sure you need the former, and EMBAs provide a watered down version of the latter.
Go to H/S if you want to break into buy side finance. Otherwise, keep on your path.
I’m doing a part time MBA as I agree - opp cost is too high to take time off from work and have salary reduced to 0.
I’m choosing to go back to my Alma Mater remotely for 22.5k all in. Best choice I made. My employer doesn’t care, pays 100%, and is already prepping me for a pivot to a different area of the business upon completion in a few years.
I think MBA is more versatile and respected in big tech than a JD would be.
