Hi Fellow fishes, I had an hr discussion with amdocs and during salary negotiation they told we can't give more than 11 lpa, they told it's the last offer and didn't negotiate at all. My current CTC is 7 lpa and YOE: 3 years. How can I renegotiate with them. Will they not process my offer letter if I ask them to reconsider? P.S. : I really want to join amdocs. Amdocs
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

The moment you go into fund accounting or IA will close a lot of doors for opportunities in finance. Try going for controllership or managerial accounting and pivot to FP&A. Other than that you will most likely need to get MBA
I feel like that data is a bit skewed since most of the MBA graduates struggling are aiming for high finance, consulting, and/or strategy roles. Pretty confident that if they aimed for FP&A positions at maybe non F500 companies it wouldn’t be too much of a problem
Why would you think that fund accounting or IA would get you into finance or real estate? I would just start with some light googling to understand what type of finance you want to do.
I don’t think it will get me into finance or RE but I rather have something now than nothing given the current job market. I would much rather get and want FP&A or analyst role right now but that’s not possible until the job market picks up again
