Try contract attorney work to do intermittently while you job hunt. Network and do a targeted search. As someone who reviews job applications, I can definitely tell when someone is applying to any and everything vs someone who is doing a targeted search.
Try JAG, or government work
Clerk? Once you leave the legal profession, it may be hard to return especially as a junior
A ton of clerkships are open on Oscar! Apply! It could be great experience and it is never a bad move. Don’t give up!
I was in a similar position in January but was looking at firms. I found reaching out and networking with people helped at least get interviews. I also had more luck direct applying to small or mid size firms than big law. Best of luck on your search! I know how hard it is, but you’ll find something great! To answer your question on non-legal jobs, not much is top of mind.
Why not look at firms? I think baker Mackenzie is hiring a trademark associate
Best of luck with the other recruiter! Hope you find one that has a good personality fit for you and helps you find something! It’s also important that they be responsive (including super clear and where and when they submit you) and actually review/edit your materials!
Hmm, maybe you should try tech roles, like Apple or Facebook. They have JD Advantage roles. Depending on what market you are in, you may want to tweak your resume after reviewing a few jobs you actually like so the search terms get picked up. Try some legal recruiting firms too or the Legal Aid for quick money. You can also try the USPTO.
