It looks like you are trying to get a job in sales I’m assuming? If so, they don’t care so much about what your role is as much as what you actually accomplish. Put as many numbers in your résumé as you can, (% to goal, QTD,YTD, National rankings) showing how you made a difference or an impact, not just what your role consisted of.
I’ll second this. If you’re interested in taking a look at my resume I’m happy to share. Just DM me and I’ll get it to you.
Beefen up your experience section with more bullets that are more detailed oriented. Yours aren’t bad, but they’re somewhat generic. You still have some room at the bottom there. Try to maximize every square inch of your page and honestly… don’t be afraid to run over into next page. My resume is two pages long.
Not it’s not a big deal. Mine is a full two pages and I feel like I get hits pretty consistently on it.
Looks extremely vague with broad language. No identifiable metrics to stand out. Not trying to be dismissive at all, just constructive criticism. As an Operations Director, there's nothing showing me quantifiable data. I can look at a crowd of strangers and say I've identified leads. Writing resumes is difficult and mind numbing. Harvard has some fantastic templates to study. Also podcasts, YouTube videos etc. This is the story of YOU! YOU'RE THE Star! MAKE ME BELIEVE IN YOU! Best of luck!
Thank you so much for the tips and advice I really appreciate it
I agree that it is okay to have your resume 2 pages. Take advantage of the first page to add results (growth figures and awards) in an executive summery on the top of the page instead of the very bottom. This is an entire paragraph where you can edit and add keywords from the job description of each job you are applying to., to customize.
Also, add results along with the descriptors under each position you've held. (grew sales 20%)
I found this podcast helpful. You can look at individual topics. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/resume-storyteller-with-virginia-franco/id1504760256
I agree with the previous comments about adding quantifiable results. It is pretty much necessary to have in your resume if you’re pursuing sales because you will be measured by metrics.
I noticed you’re using past tense in your current roles. They should be present tense. Also, you have two current roles listed. Do you have two jobs or are they at the same company? Additionally, your 3rd role ends in March but next role starts in Feb. Is that accurate?
Yes. I’m a contracted SDR. So that’s why the time lines are confused I sold for an education tech company from Feb-March contracted through my main job. And then started selling cyber in the federal space.
Are you currently working 2 jobs ? Your resume says yes. One thing I see is how short your time is with a. Company. I would put the month you ended the job and the year let them ask for more details then explain why so short. Some might think if your already working 2 jobs when will you have time for them? But that's just me
Change that and pick one. You aren't doing 2 jobs and it looks weird AF. Literally everyone is assuming you are working 2 different jobs.
And put the one down that pays your check, likely the contracting company. And then within that section explain your current client and role.
The content of your resume leads me to believe you are lying about your accomplishments. Dont do that.
Well that’s why I also have a LinkedIn that shows what I do that is also attached with my resume, but there no need to lie any advice or tip or no?
Have you even read your own resume? Your grammar and tenses are all completely off. Also there’s literally no meat here just boiler plate experience bullet points that look like you lifted them from a job posting. Auto reject if I were a recruiter or talent acq person.
Thanks any tips or more criticism?
