Looking for feedback: In a leadership position with responsibility to direct sales strategies and enablement for a product category. My issue is that my new boss, who micromanages my every move, gave me a slap on the wrist for “breaking chain of command” to speak with my VP. Someone I already have a relationship/rapport with trying to get honest feedback on an initiative. Any suggestions on handling corporate politics with my boss? Previous boss allowed me to speak freely with all leaders.

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.
