4 year-old pinches kids ears to the point of bleeding/laughs when they cry. We have tried everything; time out, safe space, replacement behaviors, telling him to touch gentle. At my wits end!!!

How do you deal with parental guilt when you have to miss things? When my child was a baby it wasn't as big of a deal as long as I was around for the big stuff and was pulling my weight parent wise. Now that they're 4+ everything is big stuff, and every time I can't be there it really affects them. I know being successful in my career will set them up for the future, but it feels like I'm letting them down right now.

How many married professionals with young families are just sticking it out “for the kids”? Marriage is very dead and has been for a while. Young kids 4 and 1. My wife and I don’t fight, but share 0 interests outside of the kids and can’t stand to be around each other. I’m so ready to leave… I just can’t bear the thought of doing it to my children even though another part of me feels like wife and I would both be better parents if our lives were separate. I think teaching on line was more work than face to face learning but I am willing to learn new skills for a new normal that helps keep families safe. However, do you think that for the future a combination of the two will work best for our students especially in light of how our society is heavily information based?

One of my good friends is not very cautious with her approach to COVID and it's made me pretty uncomfortable, so I recently decided I don't want to risk seeing her in person anymore. I thought I could just decline invites to meet up, but she's getting persistent. Is there a polite way to tell her the truth without coming off as judgmental? Venting :: I have this cousin who thinks she can just show up without calling or asking? She was unpleasant, criticised me for not cooking enough despite the fact that there were so many groceries close by, complained about me waking up at 8 am and how she hates my dogs and wish to strangle them, last time she stayed over. I can’t tolerate her but have the pressure of calling her home for the holidays cause she is home sick 😓
