Recently laid off from a top 10 firm in LA after 7 years in PA. I’d been with the firm since college but now not sure whether i want to try and get back to PA or pivot to private or something else. Often people double book and it feels like “ my meeting is more important that whatever you have booked time for in yours”. If both meetings are same urgency/importance - what’s the best approach ? What are the expectations of leadership - to throw everything away and jump on to calls based on seniority ?

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.
