Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

The problem with your hypothesis is that the best exit opps from consulting will have hiring managers that came from those firms and who definitely know the difference

Working as a accountant in McKinsey isn’t better than working in audit at deloitte if that’s what you’re saying
Yes
Any decent job will involve going deeper than your title. It would quickly become apparent in your experience stories or situational approaches or case studies etc.

Some companies tend to love a good brand. Even if it's hollow bones. As long as it's marked pasture raised. Those companies fall for "oh MBB, let's bring them in for an inteview for an S& O role". Meanwhile, a cage raised bone, even if meatier, will need more FDA stamps than for it to make it noticeable. At the end of the day, some will buy pasture raised and others won't care for a cage or not. YMMV

I get the analogy, thanks!
MBB in your CV is a strong brand either way. But hiring managers know exactly what a client facing role and a non client facing role is. And they can differentiate.
Most recently I also increasingly hear that the more savvy recruiters understand differences in client facing roles. Eg McK has not a lot of implementation consultants, that are client facing but don’t get the same appreciation in exit ops. I’ve literally heard a recruiter say that they think about McK more and more as the smallest big5 with an outstanding strategy consulting arm.
