Interviewer here. Please don’t spend 6 minutes on a framework. Show me your results!!
Also agree with what M5 said below. I’ll be in charge of time so will likely interrupt you if it’s going too long. Not terrible but if it can be avoided, better.
Did you practice and record your framework or how do you know it’s going to take 6 min?

Is the 6 minutes from the moment the prompt is given, inclusive of the clarifying questions and thinking time? Or just for presenting your structure?
Regardless of those answers, use some sense checking:
1) Are you being as succinct as possible?
2) Are you leaving enough time for the other portions of the case interview?
- If you have no issues finishing cases on timeF then it should be fine but if you find yourself consistently taking over 25-30 min to finish a case. You need to optimise your approach.

Just presenting my structure. I appreciate your advice! I’ll put extra effort in being more succinct.
If you bring some specific framework you know or made up, and force it onto the case for 6mins you won’t do well. If you spend 6mins structuring and explaining how you have structured the problem in a logical way, you’ll do well.

6 min is a bit long, the best casers usually are between 3-5 min. Obviously depends on your actual structure and how you present it though
I’ve found to spend the time you need making the structure (no longer than 2-2.5 minutes) and then present your framework. But when you present your framework introduce all of the topics, but only explain a select few. For example, in a market entry case you don’t need to explain why you want to look at the size and growth rate of the market, but providing 1-2 sentences on what customer segments exist and how that may change your answer will help you be more concise.
Also an interviewer. I’m in charge of time, not you, so after 3-4 minutes I’m going to be hurrying you along.
If you're being tailored, specific, and going in depth on categories that matter, I would shave off a little bit of time but not worry about it.
Having coached many people, ~5 mins of speaking was typically the sweet spot to present sufficient detail as people who only presented for ~3 mins tend to miss major things.
Not an interviewer yet though!
I would just analyze why it is taking you 6 mins to walk through your framework. If you are working with a client, they wont care about your process (i.e., framework), only care about the results
