I went to an outdoor shoot in LA last month at a park, wore unripped jeans with a modest blouse but spent most of the day with a heavy sweatshirt on because it got cold… was with 3 other account folks and they more or less wore the same!
VPAD1, I’ve been on many “super shoots” where we do a massive amount of work all at once to save on union/talent/location/production fees, and those always had small armies of account folks bc there weren’t enough agency producers to do all the things
Nice jeans, cool sneakers, some top slightly more elevated than a graphic tee, and a light jacket or sweater. The name of the game on a shoot is comfort. But also think about the client and how formal they are - you don’t have to match their formality but if they’re going to show up in a suit, you should take it up a couple notches too.
Slightly less formal than what you would wear for an indoor, but also being realistic of the weather/location. Athletic is fine for middle of the woods.
Slacks, tennis shoes, layers as required.
It also depends on your clients and how they will dress. Mostly, everyone focuses on being comfortable and dressed for weather. It’s a very long day for everyone. Jeans or jean leggings with casual top and comfortable shoes/sneakers. If you dress to nice people will think you’re wierd 😆
Thank you!!
You've been wfh too long.
I travel for work often, just haven’t done an outdoor shoot
