My mom has been sick for nearly a week now (fever, fatigue, nausea) but isn't able to get help or tested because she doesn't have respriatory symptoms...yet. Our numbers are definitely underreported.

Wife has domestic charges and now wants me to leave the home? Have a new project starting up soon. Wife wants to mediate separation agreement soon until her criminal case is resolved. Advice?

Anyone else dealing with emotional trauma that is bubbling back up thanks to all the free time we have to think about shit endlessly? Or the fact that frustrating family brings up stuff, but since they are now 80% of your human interaction, it's a lot more overwhelming? How are you dealing with it?

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

This is a question about friendships. Two friends got into a really bad fight this past weekend. They have each asked me to hang out this weekend. What do I do? I don’t want to have to choose sides. Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. The thing is, I fell in love during the pandemic with a friend that I have known for 3 years. It's frustrating since I know I could continue my job from home. I would honestly quit my job and wouldn't mind the job search again.

I was devastated when I realized I had to cut my twin sister and even my mom to some degree out of my life in order to have peace of mind. It makes me sad I feel better without their burdens. ☹️

Just restarted stimulants and already I'm dealing with twitches again. Does anyone else get these? No type of pain or anything just every once and a while my body will twitch strongly. Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.
