Hey there. Sorry to hear that the feedback is demoralising!
My suggestion is to do it like this:
1) feel your feelings. It sucks to get negative feedback, so step out and stretch your legs and feel your feelings
2) when you feel a bit better, build a plan (feel free to use a friend/coach here), and make actionable steps. So it’s better to say: I will have a colleague review items like XYZ rather than I will have someone review my work. Since there is an achievable action.
3) if you can, talk to your manager and explain that the feedback makes you feel awful and if it would be possible to get feedback in *insert format that works for you*
4) remember it’s not the end of the world. It’s hard but you are more than the feedback/job!
You got this! J believe in ya

One way to deal with the red ink kind of boss is to say like - oh thank you for pointing that out. Then ask a question like “do you think the report overall is directionally correct?” Or “that’s good advice, yes it would be better that way” or “you think so? I thought the client would prefer this simpler approach”
So reframe the interaction as one of mutual learning and push the conversation forward and positive, not backwards and negative.
Do not tell your boss that you don’t like the way they deliver feedback, that probably won’t resonate as much as showing them how you’d prefer to communicate.
And finally, if your boss is merely correcting your mistakes, then yes it’s hard to take, especially for someone with ADHD. With experience, we learn over time to handle it better.
Yes. In my experience it is much better to confront something head on then to let it fester and quite possibly make you explode later down the road when you get pushed too far. I would have an open and honest conversation and let your manager know how you are feeling.
