My organization (name doesn't matters) is forcing me to work on every weekend including holidays without any comp offs, in the name of criticality. How to deal with this situation without resignation?

Name matters not for you but definitely for others who are in the process to join or are thinking of. Instead of being selfish look out to help others. Its just a name and you won't have any impact of disclosing. We are here to help each other.
Agree
SET BOUNDARIES, say no…that’s all you can do. They cannot force you to work every weekend and holiday. If they terminate you, that’s a nice lawsuit. Have it all in writing, save everything. If they verbally tell you something, follow up with email.
I’d put it in writing “I am a team player and helped the project by giving up my personal time to work weekends (list the days) and holidays (list the name and date). It’s important that we find another solution to deliver (push back timelines, bring on additional resource etc) as this is not sustainable. Working 7 days a week without breaks has impacted my mental health. Going forward I will only be available to work during business days and hours. 8-6pm.
For weekend tell them you are traveling or any other personal work. They can't force you. And don't be easily available. Otherwise they will keep calling you for weekend.
Your CEO publicly saying that he does not believe in work from home and also he does not like that ... as per him work from home is not suitable in india .. That means people like him does not want to care employees they just want to back to those pre covid days when every one is over worked and under paid + always worry about the future .... !!

Your profile says 'works at Infosys '. So , do you work in Infosys?
And you should definitely call out the orgs instead of hiding the name.

You've to name the organization in order to help.. For eg.. If it's HCL, you're done can't do anything.. If it's TCS, you can get release in some ways..
Yup HCL are, especially the ones in bserve. Would work you to slavery.
8 companies tagged hai .... 1/8 probability ki tukka shi baithe..... majority mnc agar weekend pe kaam krwati ...comp off toh deti hai .... Accenture ke internal project walo koh bhi milta hai comp off.
iss hisab se newco hi bachi ...ya toh interview mein bahut shi package uthaya. . uske lene ke dene pdd rhe ya fir project hi masha allah milla

You should understand the power of saying NO, especially in corporate field. I was in the same situation last year where all these things happening(working on weekends, micromanagement). I started saying no, they didnt listen and finally i put down my papers.
We are being paid for 8 hrs a day and no one expects you to be available 24/7.
Does Capgemini really force to work on weekends?

Have you heard of the great resignation????
Then you are in probation. How much notice you have to serve if you resign in probation? You can still look out I guess
Ye mahashay HCL se hai.
Firstly speak to your lead/manager to see if this can be rotational and if more team members can be added (only if the delivery is critical and not simply to please the client or cover for someone's mismanagement or bad estimations)
If there is no positive response, go on medical leave for few days, so the project will have to find a solution to cover for your absence. I am suggesting medical leave just to avoid any discussions or convincing act. Else just take a vacation break
Corporate slavery has been the new norm and the IT industry is this era's Mesopotamia. In my short stint, I have learnt to clearly set boundaries. There was a period of 8 months in one of my previous jobs where I had to work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, only in the hope that the work shall reduce in next month and I wasn't even paid that handsomely. After which I started saying 'NO' and started converisng over mail threads tagging everyone necessary. This actually created a toxic work culture, but isn't the work culture already toxic when you are working 7 days a week? So, irrespective of your organisation, its your duty to maintain the boundary of your job. The last viable option would be putting down papers and you might be in probation, hence you can state excessive work as reason of termination. Learn from this and next time you switch company, just dont see the figures but also the work culture,WLB, and most importantly the people. All the best!

Gotcha...he is working in HCL ...IM DAMN sure....coz these happen to me as well... well you cannt anything bro.. its all depends on ur management, if they can't help you...no one can..else you have to switch again..
Never commit.
In my 15+ years in IT hardly worked for 10 week ends including the recruitment
No offense to the author. But the recurring feeling I find from so many posts here is - tech people are getting too soft (mentally) these days.
"Manushya ka swabhav hi sangharsh hai"
So make it ur biyachh and kill them softly. 😉
Get ur grit up and work through it, get better at doing more, buying time.
This is much to do with your manager/s and not with company. And tell them my health is not allowing me cope up with extra hours or any other reason.
Most probably there must be others doing it without saying a word and that's the problem.
If we dont respect yourself certainly company would not care.
At the end be prepared to look for other opportunities if things dont work out.

I think it uncle D
Guyz, please don't guess the name of the organization. Instead suggest me a solution.
Buddy there are lots of solutions in comments.
Now you have to help everyone as well with organizations name.
Atleast no body can guess your name
Just say you wouldn't be available due to some personal works... Try it for few weeks... They will understand... Or you can raise this even in the retro... Don't hesitate to say.. We all are human and we have a lyf after the job. And we do job only for the living 😊
Problem here is
If you don't have the courage to disclose company name in an anonymous forum, you will never be able to say NO to your manager.
So the best advice for you, may not be applicable for you.
