New Senior 2 left to F50 Industry Financial Analyst $71K to $97K base, $7K guaranteed bonus, Up to $10K performance bonus. THANK YOU LORD🙏
Pe offer is 125 salary 125 projected bonus - should I think of the bonus as more or less guaranteed, or truly discretionary and variable? 5 associate hires total, mm fund
How many of you who moved here for masters or on H1B are now millionaires? How long did it take for you to get here and what was your starting & current salary? I moved here 3 years ago but a $1M net worth seems nearly impossible. Did you also regularly send money to parents in your home country? Looking for inspiration and advice.
Anyone from Booz Allen willing to talk about salary? Recruiter just asked if I am flexible with the range I provided and I want a ballpark of what they might offer. Thanks!
What would be a better exit, Accenture Strategy manager or IQVIA strategy Associate Principal? About the same total comp.
I have an offer at a PE-backed healthtech company growing 30% a year, as VP of strategy reporting to CEO. 1 year after series B round, revenues at ~20-25M. I am excited but comp is less than expected. 175K base, 20% bonus, equity options worth 60K-180K annually (60 if valuation doubles in 5 yrs, 180 if it triples, very little if does not double and 5yr vesting). Who can help benchmark? I hear I could push base up, hesitating how much... and what is signing bonus standard?
Anyone have experience going from B4 consulting to boutique? Interested to hear about it. Salary raises, work life balance, quality of projects, etc.
Should I leave my job (that I genuinely enjoy, but has been affected by a major salary cut) for a new one that pays more? Or should I just be happy to have a job? Struggling between advocating for myself vs being insensitive in this climate...
UK Fish; is it common to share your current salary with recruiters / during interviews? Even if they ask for it? Any exoeriences?
How many years experience is typical for an Associate Media Director? What’s the salary range in NYC?
I’m a General Management Consultant with 7 years of professional experience, a Masters Degree, and TS/SCI. What steps should I take to switch to another consulting firm and what’s a reasonable salary?
Leave consulting for Bay Area tech if it’s the same comp? Wise career move or ride it out in consulting? Company like Square.
Good friend who went to college with me went into prop trading in Chicago. We graduated in 2015 and his Gross bonus was north of $1M for 2018...how to not feel discouraged?
Need advice ASAP. Boutique firm offered a realllyyyyy subpar package ($50K less than current comp). I’m livid and am obviously declining it but want to send some choice words to the head of talent. I set clear expectations from the get go with everyone at firm and they quoted a range that they didn’t even end up coming close to! Thoughts?
2.5 YOE, offer for senior associate strategy / biz ops at late stage startup. tier 2 location (Austin, Chicago, Seattle), 100k base + 10% annual bonus + 50k worth in equity. Thoughts?
Me, after watching few daily motivation videos on YouTube or viewing memes like GARBAGE CAN below
Saw this interesting chart online. Notice the big $$ difference between tech and finance (last two rows) That’s said, damn they are all so rich!
Going back to work following a pregnancy loss at 6 months. Nervous about being able to handle the stress of it all. Any tips for setting boundaries and coping w/o being dubbed the crazy hormonal lady with the dead baby? Mid level associate with a fair amount of autonomy.
Hi fish! Does anyone bother putting Excel skills on their resume anymore? I feel like almost everyone I know is Excel-savvy, including clients. So does it even matter?
I’m looking into buying a condo, but I’m not sure if it would be better to buy in the next 6 months and put 3% down or to buy in the next year and a half and put 20% down. Putting 3% down would bring my mortgage + HOA to a little over what I currently pay for rent at my apartment. I can’t help but think that staying in my apartment would be throwing money down the drain when I could be paying the same amount towards a condo. Curious to hear others thoughts 💭
Been in a LDR for 3 years and probably will need to remain LD for 3/4 more years due to education/reasons out of our control. In other words there is an objective need that for now I am in location A for a while and SO is in location B. As much as I love my SO and he is really perfect/the best for me, this situation really depresses/frustrates me at times and makes me so jealous of couples who can live together.. help..
Anyone know anything about Room 214 agency in Boulder? A buddy is interviewing there - is it a good place to work?
I’m newly engaged, and although most people are very excited and supportive, there are often people who say, “Enjoy this happiness while it lasts!” Of course I know marriage has challenges and the giddiness eventually wears off, but married people make it sound so awful. For 🐠 who have been married a while, is it really as bad as people make it out to be? Can’t tell if griping is just a cultural norm or if people really are unhappy in the long run.
Mask mandates in the US for a certain amount of time will never work, it needs to be played like a game. There needs to be a goal (stanley cup) and strict enforcement (referees). Can’t just say “masks should be worn until 12/31”. There’s no incentive to wear a mask since they won’t cut it short if we do well and will extend it if we don’t do well. Also why a national mandate will do nothing. Imagine telling someone in NY they have to keep wearing masks because Cali can’t enforce anything
Is it too early to go to LBS/INSEAD with 2 YOE? I know they tend to have older students, so would being less experienced be a disadvantage?
Imagine buying into capitalism THIS much that you legitimately think a company can mistreat you just because they give you a job 😭 Note the cherry-on-top last sentence that this wasn’t even an original thought from this person RIP
