And in 10 years, you’ll be making $120k. So guess what, everyone becomes even eventually
Blow me
Internal controls for 40 hours per week... kill me. Also, why do you think you'll be making 115k next year when you make 85k now?
I may work 90 hours per week, but those hours are really meaningful to me.
Never assume you're going to get a promotion
I could really use a reference OP
Rsm1 hate to burst your bubble but everyone does not even out eventually. Life is unfair esp for people who expect it to be fair
Seems legit
Someone that used to work for me a few yrs ago did this exact same thing and was coming to me 18mos later trying to figure out how to get out bc of how bored they were. Enjoy.
Gloating leads to bad karma. But some positive energy out to the universe dude.
I also could use a reference.

Dont settle is what i say. Work is more tolerable for me once im compensated more. Also i wont ever be stuck. I hate public accounting and financial statement audits - my personal preference. Dont believe the "youll be stuck" .. you wont ever be stuck unless you want to be stuck.
Meh, just want to point out, that being a senior in PA was the best thing I could've done. Great exposure and awesome people (sometimes). Went from 65K S1 to 120K consulting 1 without internal controls :). Word of advice, salary should not be everything. Even if it is, a little bit of humility goes a long way man. There's people working for less for sure but maybe that's exactly what they want coz of their goals. Attitude will make the money, not internal controls lol
Love it dude. If you can handle internal controls the work life balance, pay, and career opportunities are amazing. Seriously considering this route myself with the right company
So you're going to be internally promoted for a 50% pay bump after a year?
Oh boy you really fell for that hook line and sinker didn't you....
I also hate accounting/finance as a whole so any means to save money to get my own ideas in motion is what im about
*keyword, right company and industry
AS1 how are these meaningful hours?? Plz explain
@AD 2 well I start my day with a nice 2 hour commute up through NJ one of the loveliest places in the country, then if I'm lucky I get greeted with about 10-15 emails reminding me of how much I suck at my job from staff, managers, partners, and clients. I then have to babysit a couple staff who somehow made it through college, but have no ability to do any research on their own when they run into an issue (i.e. use google to figure out why your massive excel formula doesn't work). Around 3:00 PM I begin working on my own tasks which I usually forget where I left off, so it's like I might as well start over. Around 6:00 I will decide what I will order for dinner based on what will kill me quickest. On those really special days, there will be a recruiting event or some other activity that I don't want to attend, but I am forced to so that I don't appear to not be a team player. Then I enjoy my 2 hour commute back home. This doesn't sound meaningful to you?
