Not exactly on-topic, but a misogynistic stereotype that is 1000% true in my life: my wife is incapable of leaving the house on time

Equal parts endearing & annoying, and sure to be exacerbated when the kids are old enough to be more independent

Is this a vent or looking for solutions?

Is it because she is bad with time management? Or because she is struggling with getting the kids ready?

like

Lol just a mild vent. There are clear solutions that...we haven’t decided to pursue

Same boat but I find it more annoying that endearing. When it doesn't impact me, I sit back and enjoy the show. If it does I plan to account for her lateness. I can always count on her to be late.

Hello Folks,

My Current co offered me a salary below the market range and I have got it to their notice but finding tough luck in asking them to give me the industry standard range..

I am exploring new roles and when I tell new co abt my expected salary (as per current market standards) they find excuses to not consider the bump and say “ Oh we can give from your current sal “ any tips on how to negotiate and match my pay (as per industry standards) as I don’t want to be underpaid..

Thanks!

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

What is the average hike every year given in Deloitte India. My DI HR said average 10-15% is sure in DI and they almost pay the full overall performance bonus. Is that true? How much hike this year people got in DI and during pandemic year? Did they fire employees during pandemic?
Please share?

Just had our first, weighing the pros/cons of staying in consulting for another 4 years

Pros: our, and baby’s, financial futures will be completely set, allowing me to switch to a normal 9-5 and be present for years 5-college

Cons: miss a lot in those first 5 years

My daughter just turned 14 months and she’s so fun! Starting to walk and talk. She says dada all the time. It’s just amazing. I’m looking for suggestions on things to do together. The weather is terrible so we are mostly in the house. She doesn’t really like to read but she loves it when we make up stories and do voices with her stuffed animals. She also loves playing with blocks and stacking toys.
