Not sure where to ask this. I went and had a wellness visit and a visit to check a torn rotator cuff at my local hospital system in July. I had Aetna through KPMG. November 1st I switched to my wife's health insurance through her company. I just got a letter in the mail Friday from the hospital. My wife's insurance rejected all of my claims, didn't pay anything, and I owe the full balance personally. Shouldn't Aetna have paid this? Can I go and make Aetna cover it retroactively?

My husband just got booster so he should be fine and I am vaxxed (booster not for 2 more months) and we are making our post-college daughter go (not vaxxed, but she does get out and about and so far has been fine, knock on wood).

I, a childless woman who does not plan to have kids, am jealous of the parental leave parents get to take from work from choosing to have a child (a big life event). I 100% understand that they are working in a different way by taking care of the baby and being deliriously worn out in the process, but it makes me sort of jealous that unless I have a kid there is no life event that I can take ~3 months away from work to focus on and enjoy, plus have my hours prorated and a job to come back to.

Has anyone ever considered or thought of negotiating based on not going to use maternity leave? **I know this opens up a world of possibilities, namely men being able to do this every time but just curious how non-moms feel about one of their "benefits" being a maternity leave that youll never use**

I have resigned from TCS. Currently in negotiations with Salary revision... (They claim it's on hold due to this ongoing appraisal fiascos)... I am a long term tcser with 14 YOE.... And having good relationship with management.... But my pay is abysmally low.. (15 LPA - Take home is somewhere ~80k).... I have asked for 100% hike... I know they will low ball me and negotiate.... However, except for onsite and compensation revision... What other benefits we can negotiate ?

It was cold the way I was laid off by EY. But thanks be to God I found a better job at another CPA firm, getting paid 50% more, plus overtime pay, benefits, and it's 15 minutes from my house. #blessed

Any data scientist with 5+ years of experience willing to provide some recruiting guidance for a data scientist job switch to a FAANG? Been working for a Big4 for over 7 years in healthcare consulting in pharma analytics and demand forecasting space. Mostly worked on excel and sql but picking up python as well.
