Focus on form and intersperse dynamic stretching while I’m trying to max out
So I have a different problem (reconstructed joints due to trauma), but joint related never-the-less.
My thought process is that I’m still in what should be my athletic prime and I’ll likely be a healthier individual later on in life by pushing myself as hard as possible now. I do try to keep that framing in my mind so that, if I ever feel uncomfortable to the point of potential injury, I’ll have the long term mindset to pull up if it’s in my benefit.
At the end of the day, we aren’t professional athletes and while it’s great to hit a PR in the short term, you’ll be more likely to hit higher lifetime PRs by staying healthy while consistently working at a reasonably difficult intensity.
Mods mods mods + prehab exercises + listening to my problem joints.
