Also how technical a background does someone need for a Technical Program Manager role?

How much of YOE is relevant to the field and how much is it outside usa..that might help posters give more food answer

You should try asking for more money, and you may get more like $170-175, but SM will be a much harder sell. Unless you’re bringing in net new clients, or can drive a revenue generating area of the business where we’re looking to grow (beyond merely executing), there’s likely not a business case to bring you in at SM.

OP, could be that you’ll be good for them after your noncompete is over, but more likely it’s that you’re able to provide credibility in certain conversations that will help bring in new business.
Agree with Accenture 1. Ask for 175k and settle for 165-170.
Ask for 175
I saw in one other post the ML2 salary is over 200k
Thanks all for your inputs. I have another offer from product company 150k, and though it’s lower than EY I am inclined towards that for obvious wlb reasons. So if I have to take the ey offer then I think it should be more than 200k for me to make the switch.
What market, doesn’t COL play a factor here?
Thanks RSM 1 for your responses. I was told by the recruiter that M has 4 levels M1-M4. Do you mind sharing what level are you getting hired at?
Plus, consider industry often has crap raises vs consulting. Sounds like you’d bump to Sr Mgr relatively quick if all goes well…
