How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

$10k sign on feels low especially for a M…most are offering between 15-30k depending on offering and yoe. See if you can up it.
And WLB and expectations in consulting is high. I’d say stick with G. The espp or your rsu is way more valuable.
I was at a big 4 and as an SC I got 160k base, got around 18% performance bonus but I was definitely at the top end.
For Google, there’s discretion used by managers to potentially make your 15% bonus more like 18% or so. I got 18% last year and got like 19% this year. I have more RSUs than you because I’m an L5 but I’m now at 90k appreciated RSUs per year. There’s no way a B4’s comp rises faster than the stock growth.
What’s your YoE? You will probably work a lot more at your consulting company for $15K extra. I’d stay at Google.

Stay at Google and make room for me please 😁
I agree, which is why I'd love to work there.

Dunno why this thread has so much attention lately but update.
Stayed at Google. Got early promo, base went from 115 -> 160, Y1 equity grant almost 6 figures. Yes made the right decision to stay.
Thanks for sharing!!!! Was in same boat as you (although traded off about $25K TC to stay at G) and feeling better about the decision
20% bonus is probably best case scenario. It’s likely a range of 5-20%.
Chief
Range he told me was 18-22% so I took the median for the post
if you like consulting, take it however negotiate for more
Sign on bonus seems a bit light.
Have you taken into account all your Google benefits into TC? Have to imagine Google benefits are way better than B4. I wouldn’t take the new offer but would maybe consider like $180k

Assuming WFH, what benefits are there at Google that other jobs don't have? (besides looking awesome on a resume).
Google is much better, don’t take for granted what you have there. Let me remind you everyone tries to exit to Google after consulting. Few make it, even fewer make it into the the role you already have.
Google pays that little for PGMs?
Ugh, I gotta make the move
Hey there OP, here are some questions:
1) Have you had an opportunity to reflect on near term objectives that support your long term personal strategy? Is it to be Work Optional by a certain year? Is it to do ______ work that interests you more? Do you feel like you just want a change due to current stress (what is that change and what's driving it)? etc. If purely financial, make sure to include RSU, perks, etc.
2) You mentioned WLB in the comments. What is each personal hour worth to you? We intuit that lack of personal time discounts the pay we receive. Consider you work the same hours in consulting (55+ hours is normal and Sunday is basically low key my Monday) - how much would you need to work the same hours? Also keep in mind consulting is relationship driven to find projects and staying billable is important so you don't get let go for being underutilized and let go.
Ask for $215k, $25k sign on and $50k stock YoY for 5 years
