Other than fidelity money market fund and T bills are there any other funds where I can park my cash for 4-6 months. Funds with low expense ratio and where tax burden is lesser than fidelity mmf.

So you want --

Same or better returns
Lower fund fees
Lower taxes
But same risk profile as Tbills and Money Markets?

-- when you find this magical investment vehicle let me know

unless I'm misunderstanding what youre looking for -- I dont think this exists

like

It absolutely exists. Venmo me (@Shadysteve) and ill double your money over a 6 month period free of fees!!

Also no taxes because all taxes are unconstitutional. Listen to my podcast to learn more.

Vanguard MMF has lower fees (so higher yield). Depending on your tax bracket, you may also want to consider their Muni MMF, which can have higher after-tax yield. As another poster shared, you could also use SGOV or something similar.

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

Does anyone know if we can reimburse expenses for items listed in Wageworks while on maternity?

I know we cannot expense phone/internet/ commuter benefit as I am not actively doing work.

However, for other items that fall under wage works reimbursement, I couldn’t find anything in writing yet.

For the monthly expense reimbursement, how does it work if I choose it for my cellphone, is the amount added to my paycheck or I have to submit my bill each month in the expense account? Thanks

Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

I also have a local credit union checking/savings that I'd use if I need any services or to deposit cash and a HYSA that gets my paycheck, is used for mortgage and credit card payments, and to transfer to checking or investments.

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

I’m maxing out my 401K, traditional IRA and HSA this year and paying for some house improvements. I have about $750K total investments and very close to $2M net worth, but realize that I am behind on investments if I want to do FIRE. I was focused on paying off huge chunks of my mortgage and managed to whittle it down to $75K left. Would you suggest I go ahead and pay that off this year? Or pause and do a mega back door roth instead? I’m mid 40s. Thanks!
