How/where do you sign up for the class?

like

I'm a senior and I'll be up for manager next year! I reached out to the PMP team at deloitte to get signed up. If you study you will be able to pass this test RSM

like

How'd you study and how hard was it? What was the cost to get that? How long did you study too?

Deloitte has a week long class that helps, but you have to have 35 hours of training for it and (I forget how many) a lot of hours managing work. It was not to hard but the class helped some but not a lot. Other than that I studied my ass off for a little over a week and then took it. I did not pass with flying colors but it is a pass fail so I made the cut!

Not positive what the cost is since Deloitte covered it all. I would assume the 35 training could be expensive but for just the test it's around 500-600 I believe

What did you get the designation for? That's a project manager designation, right?

Congratulations! I'm looking to add this cert over the next year. Are you a senior consultant or already manager+? Looking to take the Deloitte prep class myself. On the fed side.

Looking to add this cert but if it's easy to pass I'm wondering if I can pass it before the cpa exam

RSM if you're looking for a quick pass before the CPA also think about the CISA also a quick easy pass

I may be mistaken but do you also need pmp experience to sit for the exam? Or just to get the certification after taking it?

You have to have the experience to sit for the exam. I used my first 3.5 years with the firm as my experience (and started with Deloitte right after college) so you will probably be able to make it work.

Hey fam. Appreciate your inputs on this: I used to be a software developer and currently work as a tech risk consultant (CISA, CRISC certified). Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. Most cyber sec job postings require prior experience in cloud, aws, devops etc. Applied to a couple of roles but no avail. A) Can I start a career in cyber security without prior experience? B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?

I am hoping to pivot to Product Management or Data Science.

Always dreamt of going to an M7 for an MBA but backed out since I had no long term career goals that required an MBA. Most of my cohorts have been announcing their MBA acceptances and I can’t help but feel like I’ve given up on myself. Anyone ever dealt with this feeling?

Is it just me? I feel like I will never RE at this point. I bootstrapped my way through college and MBA with the help of Uncle Sam but didn’t actually start saving any $ til my early 30s. At 38 yo in a MCOL area and now making $200k a year (single mom), the $40k a year I am putting away doesn’t seem to be enough to RE. Currently at about $300k investment, one rental property. I feel like exiting the rat race entirely and building a small cabin on a cheap peace of land is the only way some days!
