Predictably, Elon’s antics are running Twitter into the ground. Advertisers are down 42%. This was always a terrible move, but I think him making himself CEO and spokesperson was even worse. He could have brought in a competent person with social media experience who wasn’t controversial. If this trajectory does not change Elon will be forced to sell, or a competitor will emerge and eclipse Twitter.

Bye bye Twitter. It was good while it lasted
Elon is making twitter MUCH better

I assume this is sarcastic because no one actually thinks this
A bit soon to declare Twitter dead. Elon didn’t get where he is by luck. Yes in the near term he and Twitter will be the focus of coordinated cancel efforts but it holds a very unique place in the social media landscape. Companies it appears have already reversed their advertising cancellations.
Elon absolutely did get to where he is by luck. That is not saying that anyone could have done exactly what he has done, but luck definitely played a part.
Elon doesn’t know what he’s doing at all. Let me emphasize this: AT ALL.
Fired the comms team and brought in his merry band of idiots to “lead” the company.
Lost so many people he had to close the office to try and figure out who was still employed.
Had to call back critical knowledge holders after firing them.
He keeps sending bizarre emails to staff with various versions of “agree or leave”. He set up beds in office and is now being cited by the city. I think the only people left are the ones who have no choice due to a range of reasons.
Twitter is going to tank and we get to watch it all play out on Twitter.
OW1 - I’m female.
If you haven’t heard: there are literally people who spend more time to “manage Elon” than their actual job.
To early to say anything! All these articles are media hysteria and clickbait
Give it time before making a sound judgement
LOL you are watching too much of the liberal media lmas
Didn’t his headcount expenses just drop by like 60%+; he could do absolutely nothing and still come out no worse that this year in the short term savings
Lol^
Uhhhh who needs big ad agency money when you have MyPillow?
Not the My Pillow guy 🤣😂😂🤣😂
It’s very interesting how much his ego is tied to this. Like, he joined Chapelle on stage last night and was booed off.
I guess no amount of money can force people to like you.

It’s almost like the people throwing criticism are the weird nerds….

Looks like Elon is feeling the need to explain himself. Because shareholders can easily see what’s going on.
There’s always the storm before the calm
I’m back after they hit a 52 week low due to massive recalls and never producing at a 800b market cap.
Elon stans incoming!
I think active users has actually increased since the acquisition. If so, these advertisers will gradually flock back once the activists have stopped hounding them and it turns out that it’s not a cesspool.
There were some headlines a while back:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna59051
TBD if that pans out, but the declarations of Twitter’s death at the hands of someone who allegedly has no idea what he’s doing seems premature.
People sure are interested in how someone runs their company.

When he’s blowing up millions of stock portfolios for his own sad little ego, yes the interest is warranted.

And I wonder how much of that remaining 58% is just retailers hanging on through the Christmas season with no intentions to renew in 2023.
Through all of this nonsense, my biggest gripe is how this has led to value erosion of $TSLA. I am losing $s there 😂
come on dude, don’t go the Ye way
It’s almost as if he bought it for another reason… 🧐
Him coping about 10% booing is the cringiest sh*t I have every witnessed and this is a 51 year old guy who is the second richest in world. Wow!
Do you people don't know that All companies are struggling with advertisers. Google, Meta, Amazon and they are laying off staff. Elon is newer in advertisers business and never used any advertising or marketing for Tesla, SpaceX, etc. Considering these facts, he is doing Okay.
Rising Star
They aren’t struggling like Twitter is.
42% revenue wasn’t stated once in that post. Roster is different but I agree he doesn’t have much time to turn it around
