Not being at PwC
Chief
Is this a pro or a con
Pros- prestige, looks great on resume
Cons - no wlb
Dm for BDO referral if you want to consider audit outside of Deloitte.
Chief
Con - you will work a lot
Pros - lots of exit ops after 2-3 years
Those BS senior accountant roles are your foot in the door at Fortune 500 companies
If all goes well, you can grow and stay there for a long time making good money and enjoying WLB
One of friend did it and she seems to like it. DM me for EY referral. EY pays good for auditors
Pros are you will likely get a bump in pay
Cons are you will need to relearn all the admin systems, don’t know what teams or clients you will be on, still be doing audit, and if you come in too high up in your pay range your raises will suck the next few years to level you out with your peers.
Pro
Jump again when they start getting close. Would take them 3+ years if homegrown
Pros:
-Looks amazing on your resume/LinkedIn, will lead to great exit opps down the line
-You will work with smart people and will learn a lot
-Most teams WFH
-Great tech and resources
Cons:
-WLB can be a hit or miss depending on your teams and projects
