Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. A few things I’ve found helpful for finding one’s way:
- Speak to partners. They’ve stayed a long time and have seen most roles. Why are they still around? How does the job change over time? Is it more aligned to what got you into the profession in the first place? I’ve found most are very open about having gone through similar identity struggles in the past
- Reach out to recruiters across industries (tech/finance/startups). Do a few first round interviews, see if you feel that spark anywhere else.
- Take time off. A couple of weeks to disconnect and think through what really excites you can make a big difference
Hope you find your way!
The last bullet is so key!
This maybe a step down, but Marcum has great WLB in all practices and we offer remote positions too. If you’re interested, I provide a referral.

I doubt big 4 would be an improvement since you would likely do similar work with lower pay, fewer resources, and slower growth. Your best bet is probably strategy or product roles in tech or other F500. Happy to refer to capital one
