You could def swing 30.
Take a bigger swing and tell them why you’re worth it. Make the case for $100K and if you land at $50K it was well worth it. I’ll gladly accept a 10% finders fee for this advice.

Did you try? I got my last offer up $20K on signing and $14K on base by just sending 2 emails and 1 call
Based on the call I had w the recruiter, seems like signing bonus is where the wiggle room is versus base. Doesn’t hurt to try for another 5-10K, but what’s been communicated makes me want to push harder on signing bonus.
My recruiting pipeline is around the same comp level (includes nonconsulting opps) so feels hard to justify a substantial increase in base
Ask for at least 35k sign on bonus. Personally I’d ask for 40k. I have a buddy who started at a much lower base and negotiated a 30k sign on bonus. SEND IT
