Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Might be helpful to know what you've already read so that we do not provide overlapping recommendations.
In general I always recommend Good to Great, Extreme Ownership, and First Break All The Rules.
This year I read 4 disciplines of execution, Traction, Give and Take, and Deep Work. Also listened to HBR’s top 10 on managing yourself, which gave me more ideas for books to read. I also really liked Profit First and Fix this Next. Audience is entrepreneurs, but very easy to apply to a growing individual contributor or manager role.
Thanks SA1

Just mimic Robert California as much as possible.
. . .
Not precisely what you asked for (and haters not appreciated) but I just started Obama’s first presidential memoir on audible. It’s fantastic and so great to hear about his own journey and though process. Also listened to Shoe Dog, Phil Knights memoir about Nike and it’s also just incredible.
Thank you for sharing! Obama is the best 😭
Several different approaches:
Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink
Start With Why by Simon Sinek
Developing The Leader Within You by John C Maxwell
Definitely agree with Extreme Ownership - if you only pick one book, make it that one — and Start With Why. Haven’t read Maxwell, so I’ll have to put that on my list.

leasership is something you can learn more from autobiographies than self-help books. Take a look at Hit Refresh
Will check it out, thanks.
Know Your Value by Mika Brzezinski. It's not just for women.
Grandson and I read a great book about a child who gives his body parts to help the tree.
Pro
Wait, was the book where a tree gave parts to help a human, or a human gave parts to help a tree?
The former is childrens' classic 'The Giving Tree' by Shel Silverstein.
The latter is some absurdist, body horror story I have never heard and does not seem very kid friendly.
A Team of Rivals. It’s a story of Lincoln... I know I know you asked for leadership, but hear me out. The book extensively covers how Lincoln handled complex political situations, administered a war and, perhaps most importantly, managed lead a cabinet made up with fiercely opposing intellectuals. One of whom was actively pursuing the remove Lincoln from office.
The lessons learned in that book can be generalized and applied to your day to day. I have learned a lot more from this book than some of the other books like good to great, outliers, etc..
Books by Patrick Lencioni, John Maxwell, Stephen Covey, Execution, are all really good.
The algebra of happiness by Scott Galloway.. the man is a genius
Steve schwarzman's book What It Takes isn't solely about leadership since it chronicles his entire career basically but there are a lot of great leadership insights and themes in it and i personally thought it was a pretty good and useful read
Turn the Ship Around
They don’t exist.
Dune
Spiral Dynamics in Action
Start with Why by Simon Sinek, Good to Great by James Collins, The Generals by Ton Ricks, Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, and The Ride of a Lifetime by Bob Iger.
It’s Your Ship
Execution by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan. It’s from 2002, but I think it stayed relevant.
