RSM Tax - has anyone received promotion announcement yet? I believe the partners were supposed to approve our promotions by May 28th. I wonder if anyone for the good news yet?

I’m looking for a new job!! It has been impossible to build a good relationship with my manager, he isn’t transparent with me and never provides any constructive feedback so I have no idea how I’m performing. I recently asked for a raise since I completed all my assigned projects for this year plus a few that I took on due to resignations and was denied with no reason. I’m so checked out and looking for a new job and manager that I can learn from and will help me grow, any help is appreciated!

/160k OTE role out of Plano TX

I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

Has any companies given their employees good raises to help with the rising costs of everything? I was a top performer and only got around 3% this last year.

I hate it when people try to bond with me over trauma when their trauma is that they fight a lot with their spouse or they didn’t get the promotion they wanted. How is that staring death in the face??

Help! I wanted to know your thoughts about accepting a job and forgetting to negotiate salary and 3 months in asking for a raise. Should I just wait or should mention it? Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.

How does hierarchy at CFGI look like? Do you have director position or the promotion path from Sr Manager is straight to MD? Also, how tricky is overtime incentive bonus? Got an offer for Sr manager role for a lower base than expected, but recruiter keeps bringing up that extra 5 hours of week is “easy +20k a year right there”. Thank you for any insights!!

I decalred FBP, and the amount got deducted from my salary.
Now I can see I am eligible for some amount under FabP. What is it and when will I get it?
What exactly is the funda of it?
Let say I am eligible for x amount in FBP LTA. And some y of x got deducted in a specific month, now that y portion is showing in FBP tab to upload the bill.

What if in case I have LTA bill which is exceeding x amount itself, do I need to raise reimbursement request every month th with same bill?

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

Are there any tax professionals in the Lancaster, PA area that are looking to leave public? The recruiter for my company says there's no one out there and I get that a LCOL area in Pennsylvania won't have the applicant pool as a bigger city but I find it hard to believe there are no tax people available for the jobs we have.

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. I had a call with the HR on 11/17 wherein we discussed about my salary expectations and the HR said he will get back in a day. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?
