I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

If one of those opportunities was suddenly taken away, which would you be more upset about?
Good Q - I am not sure. ACN has a lot of brand value but in the industry role I will have an opportunity to really build something and have a lot of say in the process.
So is the ACN offer $13k more than the industry offer? How much higher is it than your current total comp?
Consulting will never be as fulfilling as industry unless you luck out.
Essentially industry is more targeted, narrower scope so you should really like what you do there.
Consulting is for those who don’t care exactly what they do, or how they do it, or what mission they fulfill, as long as they make good money.
While you will be getting $13k more at ACN, I’d expect at least 15 hours of work more per week. Considering such, the ACN offer might actually be lower than the industry offer. Depends where you are in your career and what you value (family, hobbies, travel, etc.)

Do you have a brand on your Cv already? If yes, take industry. If not, do Accenture. I actually have an optimisation excel I created the last time I changed jobs. Happy to share if that helps.

Tell us about your priorities so we can provide better input. Are you focused on pay? What do you want to set yourself up for a few years from now? Do you want to follow a consulting career path?
I would avoid consulting like the plague. If the economy gets any worse the last in will be the first out (I’ve heard partners in my firm say this)

I guess what would help me is to understand if folks here will be willing to take a 13k cut to be in industry for a mildly better WLB? I should add that I’m passionate about the industry and curious to learn more.
How much do you make now, and how much less work would you do? If I made 130k, and went from 50 to 40 hours a week at the cost of 13k, I would do it. At that point, I would be leaving for work I am more passionate about.

Stop thinking about money and take the job you want. Is 10k enough to be miserable

Has ACN indicated when they may be expecting people to travel again? That’s a big differentiator from a health and lifestyle perspective.
