Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Definitely going to most likely have to make the jump. Made the same mistake previously at Accenture, realized I was 20k under my lowest-paid peers with commiserate experience, asked for it a year in and was basically laughed at, switched to D and got that and some.
From my understanding it will take a couple of salary reviews to fix.. not just one. So the question there is if you value your current company (people, projects, development, whatever) enough to be underpaid for a couple years. I could be wrong
They will tell you that you will, but let's be honest, you will not
Switch to pwc or D
You're getting ripped off because of your poor negotiation skills?
I do not think you used that term correctly.
I don't think $90k for a Senior 1 is thaaaat underpaid.
There is no long run in consulting ...people rotates like crazy
No, not unless you have a very vocal sponsor arguing on your behalf
Accenture just adjusted all our salaries into more fair bands with fixed and publicized ranges for each level. I expect the other consultancies will follow soon
I was like that when I joined Accenture, when I got promoted they gave me a big lift into the new band $40k rather than the $20-30k everyone else was getting. Now I'm aligned with my peers at the new level. But don't know if it is the norm to be so lucky, the MD who was making the decisions in my business group knew me well and didn't want me to walk.
U will have to jump or at least get another offer. That's the only way.
Long run shong run nonsense.
90k as a senior in SF? Way underpaid. Start looking to jump to another firm at the year mark.
Threaten to leave. Ballsy, but if you can back it up it costs nothing for the firm to grant you the extra $40-$50k. Downside is minimal (you're find a new job at any of the big four)
One way is to become a great asset to leadership and bring it up to them when you have a new offer for a bargaining chip
Just switch ...its all the same ...just different name
I like my team though, I wish I didnt have to leave for a salary fix. Leadership keeps on saying : don't focus on the salary so much, it will all equalize itself in the long run.
Still can't help feeling undervalued because of it.
OP I'm in the exact same boat. Don't want to switch firms but i can't ignore being paid below market.
A4 your career counselor has the bands for your DTE. They were also published alongside all comp decisions in Dec.
