Hey Folks. I hope I am posting in the right space about this. Anyone knows the updated(2022) compensation range for QA Automation Engineers with 2 years experience?
A general range at Glassdoor has an average base pay at 110K/year shorturl.at/dhuIZ and I am looking for more sources. Cheers

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Coming in as a senior manager to EY or a director to PWC is very difficult. Not saying it cannot be done but know what you’re getting into - having to rebuild a book, have sales targets, deal with PPMDs riding you, stiff competition, etc.
Both have the same risk profile and upside regardless of base or potential bonus. Go where you feel most comfortable.
Bonus is always a variable with many factors that go into it (individual performance, firm performance etc). I would not assume you will outperform your peers at level to get top ratings & firm revenue will be above plan, and you’ll get the max 60%. I would be more inclined to assume somewhere in the middle of the range. Perhaps someone from there can confirm.
The question is, money aside, do you want a different type of challenge? You seem intrigued by PwC offer.
What level are they targeting?
S& is a mess - no one likes talking about it but it’s just not going to be a good experience for new hires. Even before all of the recent market sentiment, S& has terrible experienced hire integration.
It’ll be fend for yourself or get fired from day 1.
Likely experiencing the same pressures the broader industry is, but the culture and practices are not set up to handle it.
anything tied to deals has worse WLB and more burnout culture owing to the type of work than the corporate team. Idk about Deals Tech Strategy in particular but you’re probably working with deals teams so the same timelines etc will impact your work. the cultural issues plague the entire firm, it’s a bunch of ring fences with political boundaries you’ll learn on the job. can play for or against you depending on who you work with.
Just know that EY hasn’t really been paying bonuses the past few years. I assume S& is similar. So go for higher base. Or better yet get out of consulting
