Hello everyone!
Can anyone please explain the promotion process followed here and specially at LCCI? If there's any minimum criteria like X no of years in a particular level, etc. followed while checking eligibility of an employee?
And also - what's the hike/increment range usually at the time of promotion?
Eli Lilly and Company.
Any leads would be highly helpful.
Thank you!

Why do you need either?
I only have a bachelors in accounting and I feel like I need something to stand out a little bit more. But also wanna do it in a timely manner. I graduated in 2019 but still not making 6 figures as yet ($72k rn)
MBA.
You can learn SQL and tableau for free in a month
Only do the MBA if you can get into a top 20 school though, not worth it otherwise.
Nope. The only thing an MBA outside of top 20 is good for is moving up in middle management at a company you have been at for a long time.
It will not give you the same opportunities that a T20 will that will offset the cost of the MBA and the 1-2 year opportunity cost of not working. 60k for a two year program is 180k total cost assuming you are making 60k now.
An unknown MBA program will probably not raise your salary that much.
However, MBA hires from top schools can land IB and PE jobs. Even consulting at deloitte is hiring MBA new grads at 180k
None of the above please. Just try getting an entry level accounting position at a big bank/ b4 and use that to leverage your next Role. Whatever skills you want to transition to, use resources from your job or get them to pay for it
Don't do an MBA unless you're going for a career pivot. And if you're gonna do a career pivot, then you'd better get an MBA from a top10 program which will run you about 200k.
If you're gonna stay in accounting but just want more money, the time tested method is to job hop.
Work big 4 instead and then pivot. Experience > paying $ for a chance
You don’t need a cert, just actually know how to use SQL and put it on your resume. You don’t need an mba to get an interview at Amex.
Chief
Neither will help you stand out.
Learn SQL/Tableau on your own.
Network and gain experience instead of wasting money on an MBA diploma mill.
Skip the MBA
Neither. Entry level job at big firm (big4 or top 20) and you’ll get the training you need to get a better job down the line. Don’t spend 4k on a training program and certainly don’t pay $70k for an MBA from a bottom 50% university.
Honestly, my friend was in the same shoe and didn’t work out well when he jumped to MBA with all the student loans afterwards. I’d recommend to try and get on big4 or mid tier public accounting to get the experience and better career progression. Btw, more money means more responsibility and sacrifices. Hours can be much higher and work life balance will be different too
MBA is just gonna be a duplicate of what you already learned. Unless it’s a top school- waste of money and time.
