If you’re single and childless and love to work and want a sugar baby, go for it.
Kidding aside, you’d have to calculate how many more hours the new position is, what’s the actual net take home pay increase, and whether that’s worth it. I love being in-house, you’d have to pry my non-billable life from my cold dead hands.
Answer here is pretty obvious. Big law equals stressful crappy life but if you’re cool with that and are hungry for more $$ then chase that money. Otherwise sounds like you found a pretty good spot for yourself, so do you’re comparatively easy job and invest well and forget about big law.

It would probably be 1000% more work

That’s amazing. I would stay unless you have that hustle in your veins and want to be a big shot partner.
Definitely not but if you do please pm me so I can apply for your current role
Lol
Def big no-no if I were you. If I was making 400K with a potential to reach 600K ever, I wouldn't trade it for any partner role ever. You have it pretty good; don't ruin it.

Equity Partners at my firm make 2-3 million so yes if that sounds attractive to you. Depends on your lifestyle

Most firms will expect you to have either a book or a very compelling pitch

No. In house you control your time. Law firm you are at others' beck and call.
Work life balance is incredible right now. Control my time and work flow for the most part. Just feeling like learning is stagnating and want to make sure I’m building strong foundation for a long career
In that case definitely stay! If you can’t enjoy the rewards of your work that would get tired fast. Law firms come with billable hours and business development pressures… I would need more than $150k to make it worth it. If you’re concerned about not doing enough substantive work, is there a discrete project you can carve out for yourself to do without outside counsel? Sometimes doing projects on your own can be empowering, if you can carve out the time for it.
Does WLB matter to you? If so, what are the hours like and working environment at your current role as compared to the law firm? Do you have kids/family? You should consider the impact on all aspects of your life in addition to just the finances, money isn’t everything.
Y tho

If you’ve been successful despite an elite biglaw “pedigree,” you should just keep riding that wave. I outperformed expectations coming out of a regional law school and landed at a top firm. It never crossed my mind to go get a Harvard LLM after five or more years - or even a clerkship. You made it on your accomplishments, so keep doing that.

In my view, it depends on your likelihood of making partner and what partners make at your firm, as well as whether you want to work harder not just to make partner but to stay one.

I wouldn’t if I were you.

Okay so here’s the other reason for the temptation: I didn’t get biglaw right out of law school and this is my one chance to get the stamp on my resume. Worst case go back inhouse after?
