Is this a big national builder? I would be shocked if they will accept any edits. So if you want to know what you are signing, go for it but don’t expect that they are going to let you make edits. If it’s a custom builder then it makes more sense
Might be worth it if you have a legal plan benefit at work, but I would also recommend getting inspection done on your own dime before they put up the drywall

Those lawyers come cheap relative to the project. I'd at least want a gut check review. I bet it could get done for $500.
If it is for your sound of mind, yes. But keep in mind any changes to the contract might cause a builder to just change the customer - meaning cancel your contract and get another one from another buyer.
Go for it. We had a lawyer review our paperwork and they pointed a couple important things that were missed when discussing with the builder reps. Costed like $300 all in - worth it.
