I’m a digital product designer with some background experience doing very basic coding like JavaScript, but I am definitely not a dev. I ordered a Playdate (play.date) and am looking forward to trying to make a game for it with my daughter. What’s the best place to start learning basic coding for making games? Assume I know nothing. Anybody else excited about the Panic Playdate?

Like you’re all at lunch talking shit and someone says how you’d go out and rage and he comes to your feminism induced, societally programed defense, and says “nah, OPs a good girl”?
Or,
You finish your slide and show him and he gives you a good game pat on the ass and says (in his creepiest “we’re talking about your job here” voice), “that’s a good girl”?
Actually though, what is the context? I'm thinking about a situation where somebody is like, "have you worked with Jim before, how us he?", "Oh he's a good guy, but not a very hard worker". Wouldn't good girl be the equivalent here?
^ no one is stopping you
This is your safe place. Please tell us how offended you were and how much it ruined your day.
You are all feminists, calm down liberals. This is why America is being made great again. Focus on real issues, grow thicker skin, and call him a bad boy.
I’ve had a few managers refer to us as “girls” when there is more than one female on the project... like, “the girls are just finishing up the deck now.” Makes me CRINGE
P1 rest assured that listening to women is the opposite of delegitimizing feminism. And, more good news! All women in the world don’t have to agree on one way to be anymore. We can care about a lot of things and use our voices in myriad ways to root out the macro and micro contributors to sexism, one of which is not taking a women’s well-considered concern to be just that... well-considered. Instead, you accidentally mansplained to her... and it was a woman who said it! Funny, huh? The sexiest world we live in has its hooks in all of us, women, too. We eradicate it by talking with each other. And listening.
"thanks Daddy, I'm reporting you to ethnics"
I am 35 year old male, still told a “good boy” by partners frequently..
People say good ole' boy all the time...
^ not sure good ole boy has a positive connotation
Wow!
Op....so what is your plan to solve the problem
I say he’s a “good dude"
M5 dogs are not a type of race ..
To those who are asking for context, you’re wrong for that.
@OP .. and it was a female SM? smh... nip it in the bud quick. The next time it happens, politely say, “thanks for the compliment, I prefer “insert name” instead”
This is why I generally try to avoid saying “Joe is a good guy” or “Jill is a great girl”. Typically keep it simple with “”Joe/Jill did a great job pulling that deliverable together and the client was very happy"
Next time he says is say thanks you’re a good boy too
According to my recent Deloitte harassment training it does not matter if it’s a man or woman who is making the statement. As long as the person in question feels offense it should be reported.
One of my directors calls me good girl too and she’s female... so strange :/
Lol . I’ve called my male colleagues a good boy. Especially if they are younger lol
Not being an asshole > not being a feminist
