Since having my first child, I’ve questioned whether I still want a leadership role.

The added responsibility and longer hours don’t feel worth it right now. My partner stays home full-time, and we’ve even discussed switching roles so they can return to work.

But part of me feels guilty, like I’m stepping away from something I should want.

Is anyone else in the same boat? Does ambition change after becoming a parent?

Anyone work as or been offered a position for an associate product engineer at Target Corporation? The Glassdoor salaries are way higher than my offer and I’m trying to determine what is accurate.

I would just like to take this time to tell everyone that no matter what your role is, or who you work for.. that we work to live, we don't live to work.

I understand that statement has some degree of privilege.

However when things are all said and done, a lot of us won't be worried about the extra dollars we made or an additional title we got, but what we were able to do with the time we had.

Has anyone ever left Chubb to go to Liberty or Travelers for commercial or middle market underwriting or even a sales rep role? If so, how do you like it? Came from The Hartford and love Chubb so far, but curious to see what else is out there.

Any googlers that can offer a perspective? Cleared all interviews for TPM. No HC review yet, as the recruiter says the new process is to find a match before HC. Had conversations with 3-4 teams so far, many times great feedback/compliments even during the team matching chat, but no successful match yet. I am told that there were internal candidates that fit the role better. The wait on since May, starting to lose hope now. Is team matching supposed to be this hard?

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.
