so depressed about no more summer fridays

It’s been 5 weeks and I haven’t gone a day or night without crying and feeling haunted by them. I can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t produce quality work, can’t find joy in anything I previously loved. This is the worst physical and psychological pain I’ve ever experienced.

New hire. Currently have a two hour commute cause NYC Metro public transit sucks.

What’s the best thing I can do with the 30 minutes I have in the morning to work out?

Y'all. I need some strength training programs to do at home, given that gyms are closed indefinitely in NYC. Any full body workout programs? Any reliable apps to use for routines?

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

How do you deal with anxiety before a big presentation? I really struggle with this and want to get better.

Do any real people actually want schools to reopen as it stands now? Im hearing so much about it but it feels like a weird disconnected political thing and not a live humans with kids thing.
*Obv the goal is to get covid under control so kids can go back safely, this is assuming infection rates stay steady or continue to climb

Any of you psychos don’t listen to something while working out/are content with listening to whatever is playing at the gym? I’ve had my headphones die at the gym before and I left.
