Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Layoff going on in Synechron ?
Anyone worried about layoffs?

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

This is the greatest advertising for strategy consulting
It always impresses me how effective capitalists are at avoiding blame for their actions. “It’s not my fault I decided to lay you off so I could further pad my wallet; Blame Branden!”

Lol bro this is like the definition of a strategy engagement.
1) figure out how much of that 15% will actually hit the companies bottom line you can probably work with a clients tax org to get this.
2) use that number and begin looking for areas to make up the cost in non-lay off ways
3) identify people who were likely targets for layoffs due to business or performance reasons
4) subtract 2+3 from the number in item 1. Work with leaders to make hard decisions on making up the difference
5) build a talent plan for comms, severance, etc get it approved by legal
