I’ve worked with part time account people! I worked with one who worked during hours her kids were in school, like 10-3 everyday and another who didn’t work Fridays. I think they key is to be strict about when you’re available.
It’s possible- you just need to find the right employer and be willing to take a pay cut. Also consider figuring out ways to give yourself more time (I.e make meetings with clients less frequently). I bet you can still do a good job, even if not as good as previously, working less hours.
Worked with someone who worked 3 days a week and just took care of all the billing and finances for the team. Billing is something that can done on own time vs a client meeting and project that is harder to work around.
A Sr. Acct. Supervisor job would be tough to do part-time. If you had a more task oriented position it would be easier to manage.
Sign up with Freeman Leonard or Creative Circle. They can help place you somewhere and you can set the terms. But as I’m sure you know, the account role is never as cut-and-dry as XX hours per week so boundaries may be the biggest issue once you’re into it.
