You clearing all those investments with independence? Is running this fund consistent with you doing your job for the firm? Hope you have these details covered or you may be in for some zesty conversations with HR and / or Q&RM
I think the clause in the employment agreement isn’t actually enforceable in many states. States have laws against employers unreasonably interfering in outside activities. Firm would have to show that it is negatively impacting the work to be performed during business hours. I believe it’s just there to scare. I would be careful you don’t use firm resources for your fund though (laptop, Bloomberg, etc.), and I’m also assuming that if this is outside money that you have registered as an advisor with your state
If this is a fund, you sure as hell not following independence rules and should be let go from the firm. HAPPY EASTER 😀. Because the celebration of Christ’s rising has everything to do with investing money to make one self rich. This post is almost blasphemous.

Agree with EY 3, there is no way in the world an auditor at a Big Four can run an investment fund on the side without breaking independence and/or insider trading. As far Happy Easter, I don’t know about blasphemous as much as just tacky.
