Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!

The article seems to focus more on the teacher education aspect, which I don’t think is a bad thing. There is always something to be learned and you can apply to areas. But I have to agree that resources are tight and I don’t feel like we are going to see the benefits because it isn’t going to be structured appropriately to support both teachers and students.
We are not prepared and we don’t have the resources we need. We have inclusion classrooms that are loaded up with students with special needs without enough support. And we have some kiddos in inclusion rooms that should not be there yet, as they cannot handle the large class size, fast paced instruction, and level of independence required for success. The programs need a major overhaul. It is not working. We are legally checking off a box by saying we “do inclusion”. It is impossible to do it right with the way things are set up now.
It’s definitely the direction in my district.

We have always had plenty of resources imo, but with our district splitting everything with Sped will be up in the air for a long time here along the Wasatch Front.
