I’ve got digital pictures from pre-kid days (think 00’s), early kid days (2010s), and a ton now … spread across my computer, maxed out Google Photos and iCloud, and phones. Having a hard time even finding something consistently. And windows Photos app has …. become less useful and unwieldy lately. What do folks use?

Job offer for attorney position in Raleigh at USCIR. The offer is 65k and the hiring attorney indicated that 65 is the max. Has anyone had success negotiating higher salary or increased benefits (eg maternity leave, PTO, WFH, etc) - 3 years of experience in immigration law

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

Question about inclusion…. I’ve been teaching inclusion for 5 years so I’m still a newb, but a first year coworker of mine said she got points off on her observation because her kids were scattered in the classroom and she was having to move from kid to kid to assist. While I see the point of putting them together for convenience, I don’t agree with this at all! To me this is like singling them out by putting them all together instead of INCLUDED amongst peers. My wife and I just had our second child, and we have also been dealing with her cervical cancer diagnosis. It has been a stressful year, to say the least. Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
