Any advice for a young engineer trying to land their very first job out of college?

Best stepping stone to get into MBB? MBA vs experience at Big 4 / other second-tier consulting firms?

What’s the highest degree you attained? Is it content area or education related? Did you need to get it for certification or was there another reason?

Does industry have billable hours? At the big 4, we are required to work a certain number of hours each week and if we spend too much time on anything we are questioned on why it took so long. Is that a thing when you go in industry?

Is @Citiustech a good company to join in data science domain ? Asking interms of latest tech use , career growth and availability of ML or data science projects ?

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Do you get the feeling that there is a higher image promotion of women/minority people in Tech?I have seen way to many pictures from major tech companies that promote far more women/minorities than white males in their marketing materials.Wouldn't be better if we hired the best people no matter what the race/gender is?I know some companies are not publishing any gender/race stats but you cant't really demand a 50/50 ratio.Also there is no coincidence that most execs is some companies are British. So this goes both ways.

I was a software engineering consultant and moved to industry last year. To keep things short, I can’t see long term growth for my career and exploring options to be proactive.

My friend just offered to refer me to Twilio “when I’m ready”. When would be a safe time to make the jump? 1/3 of stocks vest in a yr. All vest jn 4 years ($180K). Base: $205K

10 yoe w/ avg 3-4 year tenure. Was at last job but left after 6 months. Current job for 2 months. I work best in a technical/mgmt hybrid role.
