Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

It’s about to get a little warmer for the tech consultants that don’t know how to do actual tech

Lol @ those distinguishing between "real tech" all I probably should've been more clear. By tech consulting I literally meant anything technology. From basic software implementation to actual software development, machine learning, or whatever. Open to hearing from all.
Same thoughts here. Just received an offer from Cisco and thinking the same. Not sure if Cisco is considered a big tech though…

Lots of tech talent came from engineering backgrounds, so even if not 1:1, should be easy to find a consulting role
It has ripple effects.
If your practice does Salesforce implementations and salesforce don’t sell new licenses , your practice will be slowed down. Same with Microsoft, AWS, GCP etc etc
Consulting mostly implements products created by tech. It’s not isolated
Economic is volatile at this point, even if company is performing well- they will reconsider mitigation steps such as hiring freeze, workforce reduction, bonus downscaling, cross- utilization, etc.
Most of the folks (atleast on work visas like myself) would rather stick to existing company and may not try to switch unless their company is in the process of laying off or signs of it in near future.
Tech consultants are required for clients and relatively easier to manage at these uncertain times as we are fixed fee/ time and effort and bound on timeframe- when compared to full time tech associates etc.
trust nobody in real tech is coming to be a "tech consultant" 💀

Is tech consulting just implementation? What skills are needed other than project mgmt?
Business objects, functional business knowledge of the module you’re implementing, logical skills, knowing how to test, selling skills.
