The NHS plans to distribute millions of smartwatches and rings to monitor health in real-time. Could this technology help ease pressure on healthcare services by catching issues early? Or are we about to spend a boat load of money for no real outcome?

I think this is going to create more problems then it solves.

That's what I thought too

That does sound like a cool idea!

like

Sounds cool but will be like a dumpster fire

Honestly think it could go either way. On the one hand, it might help people recognize issues early on. But I bet you have half of people who get paranoid about slight changes to their own health markers and start putting more pressure on the system with increased visits. and on the other hand, people that already weren't good at managing their own health are probably not going to be any better with a device. Frankly, it sounds like a waste of time when what most healthcare systems need is better staffing and resources.

OP this does sound really cool, I agree. I really think if this works that it could be a gamechanger for so many people. It will be really interesting to see what comes of it. I think it is so cool to see the advancements made in technology and also in healthcare.
