Thinking of moving to pwc, what is the wealth builder? Like why dont they just use a traditional 401k? What are important facts about it?

Wealth builder is just a separate 401K. Instead of having to contribute yourself and then having the firm match it, they just give you a contribution, regardless of whether or not you contribute yourself. On top of that they offer a normal 401K which you contribute to and they match 25% on the first 6%.

like

They use both, 25% match of first 6% for 401k and 3% for wealth builder (no need to do anything), 5 years to fully vest

Think of it like a long term bonus to stay in ADDITION to 401k and all the other goodies

One thing to add - the percentage goes up as your tenure and role increase. I want to say it's 7-8 percent once you've been there a while and are a senior manager / director.

Making a lot of money relative to the average but feeling poor? Median after-tax income was ~$55,000 in 1981 and was ~$73,000 in 2020. Using a Bank of Canada inflation calculator $55,000 in 1981 is equivalent to ~$165,000 today, which would put someone in the top 10% of earners today. But in 1981 the median family had that extra money. Who can I blame?

I have heard from this platform only that hcl stopped the recovery police but still I got the negative fnf.

Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
